Welcome team Oasis
I’m no longer in Costa Rica! I-Squad traveled from Jacó to a camp called La Montaña in a different area of CR. We spent a week there debriefing what happened in Jacó: our ministry, host, the town, our week long ministry trip, all of it.
In part, we debriefed our team and said our final goodbyes. Goodbye EK, I’ll miss you!
The next day, we received our new teams in a field day style activity! We were told to grab our masks and wear old clothes, then we went down to a field. Spread through out the field and blind folded by our masks, we were told to open our hands for paint. We had no clue what was going on. We were told the name of a person and then we had to go find them in the field blindly. Once we found them, we were to paint their arms, face, and legs with the paint in our hands. When everyone had found their person and painted them we could take off our masks. Next we were to match up with anyone else who had the same color paint that was on our bodies. (The person that painted us had nothing to do with our teams.) I was covered in green paint! Therefore looking around for green legs, arms and faces. I matched up with a beautiful team of women, Team Oasis. We carried out that day with other field day activities. We played land mine, a blind touch test game, and a no running zombie tag game. It was great day.
We also had a day of teaching where we learning about the tabernacle and what happened to it when Christ died. The vail was torn, doors were open, and the light in the tabernacle when out.
From Costa, we flew to the Dominican Republic with a 4 hour lay over in Panama. Once we arrived in the DR we had a 4 hour bus ride through the middle of the night to our host. We arrived at Makarios. They have a school and after school programs. Unfortunately, this was not my team’s ministry for the month. We are blessed to be on ATL for the month, which means we are asking the Lord where to go and what he wants us to do!
