It’s been a journey.

Launch was interesting and very real. With concerns of not being able to launch and our covid tests (all 28 of us) and plane tickets being bought last minute it felt like … it was a ride. The goal was to get here and Christ came through!

Our first destination was the Hills. A beautiful couple who have been in Guatemala for awhile. They lived in Antigua and have a wonderful house to fit the squad with room to spare. We had our orientation of Guatemala there with the AIM team. Learning about the country, history, religion, attire, language, and  small things like how to catch a tuktuk.

Three days later we were on our way to Chicamán! It was a 7 hour ride through the most amazing country side with mountains filling the horizon. Our driver, Salvador, was hitting us with new tunes, Spanish reggae Christian music some hip hop and a bunch of others. I slept, prayed, dance, and we stopped for lunch.

Coming into Chicamán is a blessing. Our host Wesley and Katie Sanchez and their four kids have the biggest hearts. They love spending time with us, sharing the word, and doing bible studies.

Our team is blessed to be living in a house. I’m in wonder when we get to go to the market to grocery shop and get house supplies. I love learning about the market and speaking what little Spanish I know.

Ministry is looking like setting up Bible lessons for children in the villages.  We are still learning what all we will be doing in the future. Building houses is still in the list!

Our prayer request is for safety and to be moving in Christ’s will.

My prayer request is for open hearts to be prepared.

I’m only $1,392 away from my next bench mark on February 28th of $13,000. I would love it if you could pray about supporting me financially. Any little amount helps.  Every $5 or $10.

  1. Great stuff Jenna !

What an incredible journey so far. Even some reggae and dance mixed in with the sleeping , eating and local color.
Most people come to Christ in their teens to early 20’s. Jesus said, “Don’t keep the children/young people from coming to me, for that is what the kingdom is all about.”
So cool your working with these youngins .
Moving in His Will and Prepared hearts- please Lord , DO THIS !
